Established in 1995, JM Broadcast is a manufacturer of equipment for the television and radio broadcasting markets, which includes AM, FM and television transmitters and antennas. Our equipment has been used in the domestic broadcast markets such clients as KBS, MBC, SBS, CBS, FEBC and many others.
In 1999, with the cooperation of LG Electronics, we developed our own digital television transmitter/translator. We contributed to the transition from analog TV broadcasting to digital TV in 2010~2012, and developed and supplied the world's first ATSC 3.0 transmitter with superior technology.
Thanks to our skilled technicians who have more than 25 years experience in the broadcasting equipment industry, we have a wealth of understanding and know-how about entire RF systems including antennas as well as transmitters, and it results in a high-performance, high-quality product.
Excellent quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) produces high-quality products (ISO9001). High durability is guaranteed by executing temperature/humidity test using in-house thermal chamber and burn-in test for more than 1 week.
Based on our long experience and know-how, we are striving to export digital TV transmitter and other equipment to the majority of countries that are preparing for the transition to digital TV. As part of this effort, we have developed a compact size integrated transmitter and exhibited its equipment at leading broadcasting equipment exhibitions(NAB, BCA, IBC, etc.).
JM Broadcast supplied about 900 sets of DTV & DMB(DAB) transmitters and controlled 50% share of the Korean broadcasting transmitting equipment market by 2017. Also, we succeeded in testing the world's first ATSC 3.0 RF method Single Frequency Network (SFN) in actual broadcast condition. In May of the same year, UHD broadcasting began in Korea for the first time in the world, and the JM UHD transmitters have been operating continuously in Seoul, the home of the first UHD TV Olympics in 2018.
This year, 2020, the 30kW Hot-standby liquid-cooled UHD TV transmitter and UHF antenna system has been successfully developed and supplied.
